How Kentucky handles work zones

Kentucky hits hard in a work zone, but only with a worker present. A traffic violation there runs a flat $500 under Ky. Rev. Stat. §189.2327, which needs posted signs warning that fines increase and a bona fide worker on site. The older §189.394 also doubles speeding fines in work zones. No worker, no enhancement, though the posted limit still stands. Kentucky bans texting, not all handheld use, so there's no separate work-zone phone rule.
