Delaware Tire Chain Laws

Delaware has no chain mandate. Chains of reasonable proportions are legal when snow or ice makes you slide, and studded tires are allowed October 15 to April 15 (21 Del. C. § 4302). No pass, corridor, or sign flips a chain requirement on. Drive to the conditions on I-95 and Route 1, slow down, and stop when you lose traction. Carry chains for states that post them.
