🚧 Update: Eagle Beach Kayak Launch Ramp 6/1/2026 (JNU005) 🚧 Culvert work on the Eagle Beach kayak launch ramp is complete, and the road is now temporarily open to the public with pending paving and guardrail replacement. Due to current site conditions, please be aware of the following: ⚠️ No guardrail in place ⚠️ Uneven surface conditions ⚠️ Use extra caution when accessing the area The previous closure (May 28–31) is complete. Crews will return to complete paving and final restoration at a later date. The kayak launch will be fully restored once work is finished. SAYLES/GORGE STREET VIADUCT IMPROVEMENT: Sayles Street and Gorge Street are fully CLOSED to vehicles through the fall of 2026. Pedestrian access to residences will be maintained. Expect increased heavy vehicle traffic in the area and use caution near the work zone. Crews will begin drilling the abutment piling and bent piling. During this work expect increased noise while drilling is taking place. Expect an increase in heavy equipment traffic around the project site. Please use caution when traveling in the project area. Motorists can expect traffic impacts in both directions on Rezanof Drive between the Airport and W. Marine Way as part of the Rezanof Drive Resurfacing project. Crews will close lanes intermittently in both the northbound and southbound directions. Sidewalks are not expected to be impacted at this time. -- Traffic control will rely primarily on flaggers, with pilot cars used for future phases of work. Delays should be less than 10 minutes in either direction. -- This work is expected Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Road Construction on De Armoun Rd Both Directions from Gunnison Dr to Tahoe Ridge Cir. All lanes closed. 7/2/2026 8:00 AM to 7/2/2026 4:30 PM Thu: Active all day

Rabbit Creek Overcrossing: This project has been extended to include additional repairs to the East upper stairways of the pedestrian overcrossing. Work will begin Monday, June 15th. Expect delays and lane closure on Brayton Dr between De Armoun Rd and Tradewind Dr.

The Seward Hwy MP 90-99 Pavement Preservation Phase 1 project will begin construction mid-June. Expect delays and nightly lane closures, flagging operations, and/or pilot car operations throughout the work zone. Expect construction equipment and personnel along the adjacent shared-use pathway while construction crews perform digout operations and repave the pathway.

DALTON HWY MP 247-289 AND 305-362 DELINEATOR REPLACEMENT: Be alert to crews and equipment moving south from 362 to 305 with alternating traffic control operations. Single lane flagger and pilot car operations will be in two-mile stretches throughout the area.

Victory Road Pavement Preservation: Culvert Installations at both Packsaddle Creek crossings. Expect flagging operation during working hours and a self-regulated, low-speed, two-way single lane traffic diversion off hours. Please watch for flaggers' directions and remember to yield to oncoming traffic through the traffic diversions.

ELLIOTT HIGHWAY MP 43-51: Be alert for crews and equipment working in the area Monday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect pilot car operations and potential delays.

DALTON HWY MP 245-274: Be alert to crews in the area Monday - Sunday, 6am - 8pm. Expect flaggers and pilot car operations, with delays up to 20 minutes.

ALASKA HWY MP 1252-1268 REHABILITATION: Be aware of crews performing asphalt crack repairs, daily from 6am to 8pm. Expect flagger operations, with up to 20 minute delays.

DALTON HWY FLOODING REPAIRS: Be alert for road crews working between MP 209 and MP 250, Monday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Expect flagger and pilot car operations, with delays of up to 20 minutes.

YANKOVICH/MILLER HILL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION: Road crews are active Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Lawlor and Sun Valley Road. Motorists should expect flagger and pilot car operations, with delays of up to 20 minutes.

DALTON HWY MP 90-104 RESURFACING: Be alert to 24-hour flaggers and pilot car operations during chip seal activities. Crews and equipment will be active in the roadway from 7AM to 7PM.

GLENN HIGHWAY PAVEMENT PRESERVATION, STAGE 1 MP 83 - 92: Night paving begins June 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 a.m. and continues June 12–13. Expect flagging, pilot cars, and delays of up to 20 minutes. The Long Lake pullout and lake access will be closed for about 4 hours between midnight and 6 a.m. on June 13. Follow flagger directions, and watch for changing road conditions and crews at work.

PARKS HIGHWAY PHASE II - RAILROAD CREEK BRIDGE: MP 128 to MP 129. Active construction Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM. Paving operations are scheduled this week. Motorists should expect flagging operations, pilot car delays, and reduced speeds through the work zone.

SEWARD HIGHWAY McHUGH CREEK TURN LANE: Be alert to crews on the side of the road between MP 111.5-112. There will be no work Saturday, May 23 to Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day weekend. Starting Sunday, May 31 expect nightly pilot cars from 8PM to 5AM. SPEED REDUCTION NOTICE: speed limit will be reduced to 45mph from MP 111-112 beginning May 31

ANCHOR POINT ROAD MP 0-1.3 PAVEMENT PRESERVATION: Crews are working between the boat launch and the Old Sterling Highway. Asphalt has been removed and the traveling public should be alert to no lane markings and loose gravel. NO PASSING. Expect one lane road with flagging Monday-Friday.

DE ARMOUN RD E 140th AVE - HILLSIDE DR PAVEMENT PRESERVATION: Road work begins Monday, June 22nd. Crews will begin replacing driveway/approach culverts along De Armoun Rd. Expect one lane flagging operation, traffic delays, and temporary closures to the driveway/approaches.
