Indiana Weight-Distance Tax
Indiana has no state weight-distance or highway-use tax. The only five states that charge one are Kentucky, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Connecticut, and Indiana is not on that list. You still owe IFTA fuel tax and IRP apportioned registration through Indiana DOR Motor Carrier Services, plus the federal Form 2290 HVUT at 55,000 lb and up, same as every state. No extra per-mile credential is required at the scale house.

IFTA and registration still apply
Every state, including Indiana, still reaches you through the IFTA fuel tax (reconciled by the fuel you burn) and IRP apportioned registration (your plate). The only states that add a per-mile weight-distance or highway-use tax on top are Kentucky, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Connecticut.
