Georgia Weight-Distance Tax
No weight-distance or highway-use tax in Georgia. You carry no state per-mile permit and file no state mileage return. What you do owe is what every state shares: IFTA fuel tax on the miles you run, IRP apportioned registration, and - at 55,000 lb and up - the federal 2290 HVUT. Georgia doesn't stack a per-mile tax on top of that floor.

IFTA and registration still apply
Every state, including Georgia, still reaches you through the IFTA fuel tax (reconciled by the fuel you burn) and IRP apportioned registration (your plate). The only states that add a per-mile weight-distance or highway-use tax on top are Kentucky, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Connecticut.
