Tennessee Truck Lane Restrictions

Tennessee has no blanket left-lane truck ban. TDOT can post signs putting truck tractors and semitrailers in specific lanes on interstates and divided highways with three or more lanes each way (T.C.A. 55-8-195). Where those signs are up, follow them except when you are passing. A ticket is a Class C misdemeanor, up to $50. The general keep-right rule (55-8-115) applies to everyone.
