Truck Lane Rule No. MS Keep-right only

Mississippi Truck Lane Restrictions

Mississippi does not single out trucks. Slower traffic keeps right, and no one may sit in the far-left lane of a multilane road if it holds up traffic behind them (Miss. Code 63-3-603). It covers every vehicle. A ticket runs up to about $100. A separate rule (63-3-617) bars any truck from hogging the center of the road for more than 200 yards or refusing to move right for a faster vehicle.
