Kentucky Truck Lane Restrictions

Kentucky keeps truck tractors, trailers, and semitrailers out of the far-left lane on any highway with three or more lanes running your direction (KRS 189.340). You can use it to get on or off the highway, to let merging traffic in, or when the right lanes are not safe. The fine runs $20 to $100. A separate rule keeps all vehicles out of the left lane on 65-mph, four-lane limited-access roads except to pass.
