Truck Lane Rule No. IN Statewide truck law

Indiana Truck Lane Restrictions

Indiana keeps trucks to the right on every interstate. On a two-lane interstate you run the far-right lane; where there are three or more lanes your way, you're held to the right two lanes (IC 9-21-8-12, 9-21-8-13). This hits any truck, tractor, or trailer rig. You can move left only to pass, to enter or exit, or to clear a hazard. The base ticket is a Class C infraction up to $500, and it jumps to a Class A infraction up to $10,000 if you hurt someone.
