New York Studded Tire Law

Run metal studs October 16 to April 30; New York bars them May 1 to October 15 (VAT §375(35-a)). Studs can be 3/8 inch max in diameter and project no more than 3/32 inch beyond the tread. No GVW cap, so the season binds a loaded truck the same as a car, and there's no out-of-state pass. April 30 is the removal deadline troopers write tickets on.
