Nevada Studded Tire Law
Studs are legal October 1 to April 30 (NRS 484D.510), no weight cap - your truck can run them in season, capped at 3 percent metal touching the road (5 percent for wire-embedded tires). Retractable studs are legal year-round but may only engage October 1 to April 30. Nevada made most traffic offenses civil infractions in 2023, so out-of-season studs draw a civil fine. Studs aren't chains - obey posted traction controls.
