Mississippi Move-Over Law

Mississippi wants you over a lane on a four-lane road for stopped emergency vehicles, tow trucks, utility trucks, sanitation trucks, and highway crews with their lights on. Can't move over safely? Slow down and be ready to stop. A violation runs up to $250, and up to $1,000 if you damage the vehicle or hurt someone in it (Miss. Code §63-3-809).
