Delaware Truck Idling Law
Delaware holds trucks over 8,500 pounds to 3 consecutive minutes (Regulation 1145, DNREC). Cold-weather idling is allowed up to 15 minutes between 32F and -10F, and without limit below -10F. Sleeper-berth rest is allowed when you are more than 25 miles from a truck stop with electrified parking. Fines start at $50 and rise to $1,500 for repeats.
