TA Dedicated Expands Upper Midwest Footprint With Triangle Warehouse Acquisition
Key Details TA Dedicated, the TFI International-owned carrier, has acquired Minneapolis-based Triangle Warehouse to strengthen its supply chain offerings in the Upper Midwest. The deal closed February 8 and was announced April 13, representing TFI's continued strategy of strategic tuck-in acquisitions. What Triangle Brings Triangle Warehouse operates 900,000 square feet of warehousing space with cold storage and distribution capabilities, plus 150 power units. This addition complements TA Dedicated's existing dedicated transportation and engineering services across dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker operations. Why It Matters The merger positions TA Dedicated to capture a larger share of shippers' supply chain spending by offering integrated solutions beyond truckload transportation. TA Dedicated now operates 1,025 power units and 1,900 trailers across 70 fleets nationwide, giving customers comprehensive logistics options in a single partner. Company Context TA Dedicated was formed in 2022 following the merger of Transport America and UPS Dedicated. Parent company TFI ranks No. 4 among North American for-hire carriers and continues expanding through acquisitions to compete in the evolving logistics landscape.
