Major Trucking Carriers Expand Hubs Across U.S. for Long-Term Growth

Averitt Express announced two major regional campuses in Louisville, Kentucky and Charlotte, North Carolina, with construction expected to wrap by 2028. Louisville Campus Averitt's Kentucky project will feature a 50,000-square-foot cross-dock terminal expandable to 160 doors and over 286,000 square feet of warehouse space. The company plans to add 64 jobs while retaining 182 existing positions over four years. Charlotte Expansion The North Carolina facility spans 100 acres with a 150-door cross-dock, 500,000+ square feet of warehouse space, and capacity for 400+ trailers. This project will more than double the local workforce, adding 211 associates. Additional Investments Averitt expanded its Ocala, Florida warehouse by 8,500 square feet to support Central Florida freight demand. Page Trucking invested $514,000 at its Morgantown, Kentucky facility to create 10 jobs and expand its diesel technician apprenticeship program.
